International Treasures - Silent Auction
Dr. Karen Biraimah recently donated a treasure chest of art work that she collected while traveling around the world. Some of the artifacts originated in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, India, China, Armenia, and South Africa. In addition, Dr. Valerie Storey donated several items from Africa. All items were donated to the CEDHP Heartbeats and the team has organized a silent auction in order that faculty, staff and students might become owners of these authentic, original works of art. The auction items will be on display on September 3 from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Education Complex (ED 208). Please come by and bid on your favorite pieces. Coffee and cold beverages will be available, as well. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the American Heart Association to assist its research and education programs in order to decrease the incidents of heart disease and stroke. Some of the items can be viewed in the large display case in the lobby of the Education Complex. The CEDHP Heartbeats and College of Education and Human Performance are looking forward to your support of this exciting event.
